The Transitional Employment Allowance (TEA) is an income support program designed to assist applicants participating in pre-employment programs and services or those who are "job ready" and seeking employment.

TEA benefits are flat rated and not intended to meet specific individual needs. Recipients receive a monthly benefit and are expected to budget the benefits to meet their monthly needs.

If you have questions about TEA please call the Contact Centre toll free at 1-866-221-5200.
